On behalf of our customer, we are looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Tech Lead to build and lead a small but highly skilled team in a growing iGaming company. This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys coding, mentoring, and driving innovation. As the team grows, you will play a crucial role in shaping the development strategy and ensuring the delivery of high-quality gaming products.

Key Responsibilities

- Build & Lead a Small Engineering Team: Hire, mentor, and foster a collaborative culture in a close-knit development team.

- Hands-on Development: Actively contribute to coding, architecture, and system design while setting high engineering standards.

- Drive Product Development: Oversee the development of new gaming features, platform improvements, and third-party integrations.

- Optimize Performance & Scalability: Ensure smooth gaming experiences, focusing on low latency, high availability, and efficient transaction handling.

- Ensure Compliance & Security: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with iGaming regulations.

- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the CTO and the operations teams to align technical efforts with business goals.

- Scale the Team & Processes: As the company grows, help define hiring strategies, development workflows, and technical roadmaps.

Qualifications & Experience

- 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or senior role.

- Strong proficiency in Java, Node.js, C#, Python, etc.

- Experience in the iGaming industry or a deep understanding of online gaming platforms, payment systems, and game engines is a plus

- Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).

- Hands-on experience with high-traffic, real-time transaction systems.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities.

Nice to Have

- Experience in building and managing teams from scratch.

- Knowledge of game mathematics, random number generators (RNGs), and fair play mechanics.

- Familiarity with blockchain or AI applications in gaming.
